« Avez-vous dans les yeux ce qui manque aux paysages »
Exhibition of designers Alice Roux and Mattia Listowski
With artist Eric Michel in Paris
Art is Alice and Mattia’s common language. Their dialogue takes shape in space, landscape and light. Their works bear testimony to their matching perceptions and sensibilities. Through their factual and philosophical manipulation and misappropriation, the simple, bare facts of ordinary reality open up a new imaginative space. The environment as landscape provides both food for thought and the components for an installation. Its contemplation invites a wandering of the gaze, while leaving the viewer free to make his own interpretations. Thought gives shape to several levels of reading. Meditation frees up the essence of all things. Space predominates, the locus of the link between human beings and nature, the artificial and the natural. Nature is photographed, filmed, archived, displaced, its movement imitated by kinetics. Colour and light arouse as many emotions as there have been moments of living. With these emotions, the landscape is ever-changing.
